Change is inevitable.
I re-read the simple sentence. I smiled. I never really understood it fully. Things come and go, I thought that’s the way it was. I never asked questions. When my grandfather died, I know I love him, but I easily let go, I do not know if it is because of my very young age, maybe. I just accepted.
As I grow older, I became more mature, more attached with the things/people around me. It hurts when my bestfriend in elementary who I loved so much started befriending others. The feeling of losing her hurted me for a while. I can’t let her go for a reasons I cant enumerate now. I was still young and but I kind of understand, it was a bit hard to accept. =)
I felt the the grandest of it when I broke up with my then boyfriend. I never thought he could love someone more than he loved me. So that’s what I thought. Changed is inevitable… I just hope that changing is as fast as accepting. It’s scarry that sometimes you are stuck and can’t accept the change. Hahaha It will take time to move on. Just as I did. It took me a while to get elbow to elbow to the fast tracked changed and to be in my real world but it was worth every tears and bottles of beer. I cant say I do not care nor I haven’t accepted. I started accepting even before but now is the only time, I can say that I am starting over and rebuilding everything that was lost. It was hard but I guess I am stronger because of getting through that experience. Change is indeed inevitable. Acceptance takes time. It is a process.
Accordingly, those persons you love, places you’ve been, things you have will all perish… We cannot do anything about that but to seize the moment that you have with those persons, things and places. It is oversaid, but, what we can do is live in the moment. And lastly, I recommend to take a lot of pictures that will capture the moment as an evidence that once in your life, it happened. So even if it turned out to be not so happy ending, when you look back, you’ll say to yourself ‘I was happy, it was worth the it’. =)
